The “Beacon 1” is a 32-foot Island Hopper built in Ft. Pierce Florida. It has a 12.5 foot beam and a spacious fishing compartment comparable only to boats of over 40 feet in length. The cockpit space makes Jetty Fishing, Near Shore Fishing, Off Shore Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing most comfortable for up to 6 fishermen. “Beacon 1” is not air conditioned, but has good ventilation in the covered area on deck.
Below and forward of the fishing deck is an enclosed marine toilet, small galley and “V” bunk. Beacon 1 is a good riding and stable vessel powered by a 3208 Caterpillar Diesel Engine.
“Beacon 1” is normally operated by Captain Skip Quinby, who holds a 100 Ton Masters License. Capt. Skip has been fishing the coastal and off shore waters of Texas for over 50 years and is very experienced in charter boat fishing for jetty, near shore, off shore and deep sea fishing, especially in the waters off Freeport and Surfside Beach Texas.
